Tim Stead is one of eleven Scottish artists to receive archiving awards to secure their place in art history.
A new round of artists and estates have been awarded expert support from the Art360 Foundation to develop their archives and make visible their life’s work. By supporting artists to develop their archives, Art360 Foundation empowers artists to tell the story of their art.
Art360 Foundation’s unique approach to archiving and legacy management makes a broader range of artists’ works visible to the public, as well as galleries and public institutions. Building on the success of the first round of UK-wide awards, Art360 Foundation has launched a dedicated programme in Scotland. The line-up of artists and estates reflects the rich and diverse tradition of contemporary art in Scotland. Art360 Foundation will explore and promote the multi-disciplinary landscape of art in the region, spanning performance, installation, digital art, poetry and music.

Winners of the first UK-wide round of awards have used their award money to inform the publications of monographs, and the curation of high-profile exhibitions.
Art360 Foundation received high quality applications from exceptional artists and estates across Scotland as soon as submissions opened in May 2019.
Art360 operates a peer-to-peer selection process, where each round of artists is selected by a panel of practicing artists offering their experience and unique perspective. The Art360 Scotland panel was made up of leading Scotland-based artists; Roddy Hunter, Rachel Maclean, Lucy Skaer and Alberta Whittle.
